Our facility is located at H-1 in the MIDC Tarapur Industrial Area. It’s a large industrial zone so there is a lot of activity going on all around us 24 hours a day. We deal with cotton, so the whole place usually has that specific smell of raw fiber and machinery. It isn't a quiet place by any means. There is the hum of the equipment and the sound of people moving things around on the floor. We have a lot of space here but it all gets filled up pretty quickly with bales and finished goods. The workers here have been around for a long time and they know exactly how the machines are supposed to sound. If something is off, we usually know it right away. The weather in Tarapur can get really humid, which makes the work a bit tougher during the summer months. We have a small office area for the administrative stuff but most of the action happens out on the floor. It’s a practical environment designed for getting things made, not for hosting guests in fancy lounges. We just keep our heads down and make sure the production stays on track day after day. It is a long commute for some of us but this is where the work is. We’ve been part of this industrial belt for years.
