Vinayak Rice Mill

If you are driving down Rajdhani Road, look for the Hero showroom. We are right near there. It’s a good landmark because people always get lost trying to find the turn-off. At Vinayak Rice Mill, we spend most of our daylight hours surrounded by grain. The yard out front is usually full of tractors or small trucks waiting their turn. It gets pretty muddy when it rains, which makes moving the bags a real pain. We have a few old machines that have been with us for years. They need a bit of a kick sometimes to get started, but they do the job just fine. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you want to talk to someone, you usually have to walk back into the warehouse and find whoever isn't covered in dust. It’s loud, and you have to shout a bit to be heard over the de-huskers. We don't have fancy office chairs, just some old stools and a desk that’s seen better days. That is just how it is here. We focus on the rice and getting it processed for the local markets. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment comes in unexpectedly. The lights are a bit dim in the back corners, but we know where everything is. It is just honest work on Rajdhani Road, and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now.
