Sushil Kumar

I'm based out in the village of Chand Gothi, which is in the Churu district of Rajasthan. It’s a long way from the big cities like Delhi or Jaipur, and things move a bit slower out here. My work is pretty simple and mostly involves helping out the people in my local community. There isn't a big office or a bunch of staff members; it’s just me doing what I can from home. People around here know me, and they know where to find me if they need something. The address is just the V.P.O. in Chand Gothi, as that’s how we identify places in this part of the country. I don't really have a big story to tell or a lot of professional sounding things to say. I just try to be useful and earn a living like everyone else in the village. Life here depends a lot on the seasons and the weather, and we just take things as they come. I’ve lived in Rajasthan my whole life, and I like the quietness of the Churu area. It’s a lot of sand and open sky, which suits me fine. I don't spend money on advertising or fancy websites. Word of mouth is usually how people hear about what I do. It’s just an honest way of living, staying close to my roots and helping my neighbors when I can. It is a quiet life, but it is mine, and I am happy with how things are.
