The Tech And Fire

The Tech And Fire is located in Mecheda, right opposite the Thermal Plant Gate No. 1. It’s an industrial area, so there is always smoke and the sound of heavy machinery in the background. Being near the P.S. Kolaghat in the Purba Midnapur district gives the place a very specific feel. It’s not a fancy commercial district; it’s a place where people work hard. Our office is right there where the trucks rumble by all day. The dust from the plant settles on everything, so we are always wiping down our desks. It’s a busy spot because of all the workers going in and out of the gate. We’ve been here for a bit, providing what we can to the local area. The Tech And Fire isn't a huge operation. We are just a few people who know our way around the equipment. Sometimes the noise from the plant is so loud we have to shout to be heard, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have a lot of decorations. Just the necessities for the job. It’s an honest place to work. People from the plant or the nearby village often drop by. We are just a regular part of the Mecheda landscape, sitting right across from that big gate.
