We are situated in the Purba Midnapur district, specifically in the Bhangagara village area. It’s near Deulpota and the Mahisadal police station. Being in Haldia, we are close to the industrial heart of the region. The humidity is always high here, and you can feel the salt in the air sometimes. Our workplace isn't anything fancy; it’s just a collection of rooms where we coordinate the cement logistics. It gets pretty loud with the port traffic and the heavy vehicles moving through the narrow roads. We have a small group of people working here, most of whom grew up in the surrounding villages. There is no corporate dress code; we just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of physical work. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the gate squeaks every time someone enters. We don't mind it much. We spend most of our time out on the floor or checking the trucks. It’s a lot of manual tracking and making sure things are where they should be. We eat our meals together in a small break room that gets quite hot in the afternoon. It is an honest, gritty kind of job. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We are just a local team doing the work that needs doing in this busy corner of Bengal. We hope for a good breeze from the river now and then.
