Our plant is at 4D/2 Third Main Road in the Ambattur Industrial Estate. It’s an old industrial area, so there are a lot of factories around us. We handle various things here, mostly involving chemicals or additives for machinery. The building is functional. It’s got high ceilings and lots of pipes. We spend most of our time on the floor checking gauges or moving drums around. It isn't a quiet place. There is always a hum of engines or the sound of forklift moving stuff. The weather in Chennai can be tough, so the plant gets quite warm in the afternoons. We have a small break room where the guys sit and eat their lunch. Most of us take the bus or ride our scooters into work. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while now. It’s not a corporate office with carpets and glass walls. Everything here is built for utility. We deal with lots of paperwork for shipping, but the real work happens in the vats and the packing area. If you walk down Third Main Road, you'll see our gate. It’s a bit worn out, but it stays open for the trucks. We don't try to make it look like something it isn't. It’s just a place where we make things and ship them out to whoever needs them.
