Sathyas Geethanjali

We are at No 15 on M T H Road in Padi. You can find us right opposite the Lucas TVS factory. It’s a very industrial area so there are always trucks and buses rumbling past the front door. Sathyas Geethanjali is based here in this busy spot. We deal with music and arts and it can be a bit of a contrast to all the heavy machinery across the street. The office is a bit old and we have lived with the cracks in the walls for some time. We have our instruments and books piled up on the shelves. Padi is a working-class neighborhood and we like that about it. There’s no pretense here. We just open up in the morning and get to work on whatever is scheduled. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside and we have to wipe down the tables constantly. We don't have a big staff. It's just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. We talk to people who come in and try to figure out what they want. Most of our day is spent practicing or teaching or just organizing the next session. It’s not a glamorous life but it keeps us busy. If you are looking for us just look for the Lucas TVS gate and we are right across from it. We’ve been here long enough that people know us.
