Saga Cuires

Saga Cuires is based at 6, Sreedharan Street in Periyar Nagar. We are in the Nagalkeni part of Chromepet. It’s an area known for this kind of work, so we fit right in. Our street is quite narrow, so if two cars come from opposite directions, someone usually has to back up all the way to the corner. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you don’t know your way around the neighborhood. The building we occupy is a two-story structure. We use the ground floor mostly for the heavier stuff and the top floor for the office work and storage. It’s a functional space, nothing more than that. We have a lot of fans running constantly because it gets quite stuffy. Nagalkeni has a lot of history with leather and we are just another part of that long tradition in this city. We’ve been here for several years. The local shopkeepers all know us by name. We don’t really have a marketing team or anyone to do sales. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been in the same spot for a long time. People find us through word of mouth or by just walking down Sreedharan Street. It’s a lot of hard work and the days are often very long, but we manage. We keep things simple and try to stay organized, even if it is hard.
