Our place is located at No. 1, Saranga Avenue in Perungalathur. If you're coming from the main part of Chennai, it’s a bit of a drive, especially with the traffic on the highway, but it's where we set up. It’s a large operation, focusing on the tech and business side of things for cars. Even though the name is long and sounds very official, the people here are just regular folks doing their jobs every day. We have a lot of different departments all under one roof, so there's always someone walking around with a coffee cup. It gets busy in the mornings when everyone is trying to get into the building at the same time. We spend our days looking at data, working on designs, and managing the business end of things. It’s a lot of sitting at computers and having quick chats in the hallways to solve problems. The area around Perungalathur has changed a lot. More buildings go up all the time. We aren't a showroom; we’re the engine room behind the scenes. There’s a lot of focus on getting details right. We don't talk about visions. We focus on the tasks for the week. It’s a practical environment. The air conditioning is on full blast because of the heat. We have a canteen where we catch up. It’s just a big group of people making things work and we keep at it. It is hard work, but we like the technical challenges that come up.
