Manijay Leathers

Manijay Leathers is located right at 10,A on Gramani Street. If you know this part of town, you know it’s always moving. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a sturdy place where we can keep our stock and manage the daily business. Inside, it is usually a bit of a mess with leather pieces everywhere and the sound of the overhead fans clicking away. We don't really do the whole corporate thing here. Most of the time, I’m wearing a plain shirt with my sleeves rolled up because moving heavy bundles is part of the job. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the books, but mostly we are on our feet in the back. The street outside can get pretty loud with the traffic, but we just shut the door and get on with things. We’ve had the same tea seller coming by for years, and that’s usually our only break in the afternoon. It is just a local business trying to do things the right way without a lot of fuss. We don’t spend money on big advertisements or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we have been here a while and people know our faces. Some days are slow and others are completely chaotic, especially when a big truck needs to be loaded in the narrow street. We just take it as it comes and keep the work going.
