Mahaveer Saftey Glass Co. Pvt Ltd is based in Villivakkam, Chennai. We are tucked into the Sri Lakshmi Flats on Ganesh Nagar. It’s a residential-feeling spot in Janakiram Reddy Colony, specifically at No: 4/8. Being in a flat means we don’t have a massive factory floor right here, but this is where the main coordination happens. The Chennai humidity is always there, and we keep the ceiling fans on high all day long. We deal with safety glass, so there are samples and cut pieces lying around on the tables. The walls are a bit yellowed from the years. Outside, the street is narrow and you’ll often see cows or scooters blocking the way. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, and the neighbors know us. It’s not a fancy corporate office with a view. We have some old wooden cupboards filled with ledgers and receipts. Sometimes the water delivery guy forgets our floor, and we have to go down and get it. We talk to builders and contractors most of the day. The office is a bit cluttered because we never seem to have enough shelf space for all the glass specs. We just work through the heat and try to get the orders sent out on time. It’s a simple operation run by a few people who know the glass business well. We don't have a website that works properly, so we do everything by phone.
