Gmade

You’ll find us at 337, Chenchuramaiah Street in Padirivedu Village. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but we like the quiet of the countryside. Gmade is our small manufacturing unit. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of workers. It’s just a few of us from the village and the surrounding areas. We make things by hand as much as we can. The building is simple, just four walls and a roof that keeps the rain off our machines. We don't have a big corporate structure. If something needs to be done, whoever is closest just does it. Our days are spent working with the materials and making sure the quality is what it should be. We don't have a website or do any big advertising. Most people hear about us through word of mouth or by seeing our products in the local markets. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common in this part of Tiruvallur, so we just take a break and sit under the trees for a bit. It’s a slow but steady way of working. We aren't looking to become a giant company. We just want to make enough to keep the shop running and take care of our families. It’s an honest, simple life out here in the village.
