Our place is called Emrald House, and it's situated on Plot No 22Nd Street in Phase-1 of Porur Garden, over in Vanagaram. We make tyres here, specifically the resilient kind that people use for tough jobs. It’s a big building because making tyres takes up a lot of room. There’s always the smell of rubber around the place, which you get used to after a few days. We’ve been in Vanagaram for a while and the area has grown a lot since we first moved in. The street can get a bit tight when the delivery trucks come in to load up the finished tyres. We aren’t really into fancy marketing talk or anything like that. We just focus on the manufacturing process and making sure the tyres come out solid. The guys on the floor work hard, and it’s a physical job. We have our routines and we stick to them. Most of our days are spent checking the molds and the materials. It’s not always pretty, and it gets dusty, but that’s how a factory is. We like being tucked away in Porur Garden. It’s a decent spot for a business like ours. People who know about tyres usually find their way to us when they need something that lasts. We don't have a big sales team; we just have people who know how tyres are built. It’s honest work and we stay busy with it throughout the year. The rainy season makes things a bit muddy, but we manage.
