Classic Moulds & Dies

We have been operating out of K-20 & 21 in the Ambattur Industrial Estate for quite a long time now. Most of our mornings start pretty early because the heat inside the shop gets to be a lot once all the machines are running at full speed. It is a busy spot, and there is almost always some kind of noise coming from the workshops next door or trucks moving around the estate lanes. We spend the bulk of our time working on the various moulds and dies that come through the shop floor. Some days it is just a lot of measuring and double-checking things over and over to make sure everything lines up like it should. It isn’t always the most exciting work, but it keeps us busy and the days go by fast. People around this part of Ambattur know where we are located because we’ve had the same old sign up for years. The floor is usually covered in some bit of metal shavings or a little oil, no matter how much we try to sweep it up at the end of the shift. We have a small group of guys here who have been with us forever. We usually go get tea from the small stall down the road around eleven o'clock. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the steps for a bit until it comes back on. It is a regular shop, nothing fancy at all.
