Ghagga Rice Mill

Ghagga Rice Mill is located on Butta Singh Wala Road, right in the town of Ghagga. It is a pretty straightforward place. We have the milling machines in the main shed and a big open area for the trucks to turn around. Working here is mostly about keeping the pace. When the rice arrives from the fields, we have to be ready to move. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. I'm usually out there in my work clothes just like everyone else. We have been in Ghagga for quite some time now, so we know the local roads and the people pretty well. The dust from the husks covers everything by the end of the day, including us. We just wash it off and come back the next morning. It is steady, honest work. The machines are old but they still run fine if you take care of them. Sometimes we have to wait for parts to come in from the bigger cities, which can be a bit of a headache. But that is just how it goes when you run a mill. We don't bother with a lot of talk. We just keep our heads down, do the work, and live our lives here in Ghagga. It is a good way to spend the days. We finish our work and go home to our families, simple as that.
