If you take Pondy Road out toward Mailam, you’ll find our place at 4/75. Kasthuri Sambath Farms & Products is really just a reflection of the local land around here. We work with what the earth gives us, dealing with various farm products that people in this part of the state rely on. It’s a very rural feel, which is exactly how we like it. The air is a bit fresher than in the city, though it can get quite humid during the monsoon months. We spend a lot of time outside or in the storage sheds, checking on things and making sure everything is moving along as it should. It’s not a corporate farming operation with suits and ties; it’s more about dirt under the fingernails and knowing when the rains are coming. People stop by Pondy Road all the time to see what’s available or to talk shop about the latest harvest. We’ve been part of the Mailam community for quite a while now. The building isn't anything special, just a practical space for storing and handling our products. Sometimes the local goats wander onto the property, and we have to shoo them away. It’s just the daily life of a farm-based business. We don't try to make things sound more complicated than they are. We just grow things, pack them up, and get them to the people who need them.
