Astra Building Materials Pvt Ltd is situated at A/83/1 in the MIDC area. Being in an industrial zone means the surroundings are mostly other warehouses and factories. It’s a very functional place. There are no trees or fancy storefronts around here, just a lot of metal shutters and paved roads that take a beating from the heavy machinery. Our space is basically a large shed where we keep everything organized. The floor is stained with years of work, and there is always the sound of a forklift or a crane operating somewhere nearby. It gets quite loud during the middle of the day. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking clipboards to make sure the inventory is right. The gates stay open most of the day to let the transport vehicles in. It’s a bit of a maze in this part of MIDC, so people sometimes call us for directions once they get past the main entrance. We don’t get much foot traffic, just workers and drivers coming for specific pickups. The tea stall down the road is where we usually go when we need a break from the heat. It’s honest work in a tough environment. We don’t spend much time on decorations because the dust from the industrial area would just cover it anyway. We just show up, manage the stock, and make sure the trucks are loaded properly. It’s been our routine for a long time now and we’re used to the grit.
