Sri Uday Shankar Granites

You can find Sri Uday Shankar Granites right on Chukkalur Road in Tadipatri. This area is known for its stone, so we fit right in. We’ve got a decent-sized yard where we keep all our granite. It’s a lot of grey and black and brown stone sitting out in the sun. The road can get pretty busy with tractors and trucks, but we are used to the noise. We usually open up early in the morning. I spend a lot of time walking around the slabs with customers, showing them the different patterns. Granite is a funny thing; no two pieces are exactly the same. We don't have any corporate training or fancy sales pitches. We just tell people what we have and how much it costs. If they like it, they take it. We have a small crew of guys who help with the heavy lifting and the cutting. It’s tough work on the back, but it’s what we do. We’ve been part of the Tadipatri community for years. People know they can just stop by the yard on Chukkalur Road and find us there. We don't try to make things sound better than they are. It’s just stone and hard work. We keep the place running and try to make sure we have enough stock for whoever walks in next. There is always a lot of dust, but that is just the way it goes here. We get the job done every day regardless.
