Shiva Children Clinic

Tadipatri gets very hot, especially out on Cb Rd where the sun hits the pavement. Shiva Children Clinic is right there on the road, sitting beside Kanchani Hospital. We hear the ambulances and the noise from the hospital all the time. Parents bring their kids in from early morning until the sun goes down. The waiting area is usually full of sound, with children playing with the few plastic toys we have in the corner. The walls are a light color but they have plenty of marks from kids running around. Cb Rd is always busy with bikes and autos. I keep a big fan running near the door to try and keep the Tadipatri heat away. It is a very straightforward clinic with just the basic furniture we need. Nothing is brand new or shiny, but we keep it as clean as possible for the families. Being next to Kanchani Hospital is helpful because everyone knows where that is. We don't do any big advertising or put up posters. People just know we are here on Cb Rd through word of mouth. I spend my mornings organizing the files and making sure the water dispenser is full. It’s a routine that hasn’t changed in years. We see the same faces often as the kids in the neighborhood grow up. It is just a normal, everyday part of life here in Tadipatri.
