Pioneer Breeding And Hatcheries

Down on Tadipatri Road, you will find our place at 2-8-17. It is right in the Paddapasupula Motu area, so there is always some traffic moving past. Running a hatchery means there is never really a day off. Birds don't care if it is a Sunday or a holiday, they still need to be fed and looked after. It gets pretty loud with all the chirping and the fans running to keep the air moving. Our staff mostly live within walking distance, so we are a tight group. We spend most of our time in work clothes, usually covered in some bit of feathers or feed. It is a practical job. We aren't trying to be the biggest or anything like that. We just want to make sure the breeding goes okay and the chicks are healthy when they go out to the farms. The building itself is older, and the roof leaks a tiny bit in the corner when the monsoon hits hard. We have put some plastic sheets there for now. It is just how things are. We have a small tea stall just outside where most of us go for a break in the afternoon. It is a simple routine that we have followed for years. We aren't into big speeches or fancy ads. We just handle the birds and get the work done as best as we can.
