Engineer

Sm.Ekambaram here. I’ve been working out of the Sjk Steels plant for a while now. Most days are spent looking at drawings or walking the floor in Tadipatri. It gets pretty dusty and hot around here in Ananthapur district, but that is just part of the job. I don't really have a big team or fancy office. Usually, I'm just sorting through technical issues or checking on the steel production lines to make sure everything is moving along like it should. Sometimes the equipment breaks down at the worst times, and that is when I have to get my hands dirty. My address is listed as Sjk Steels because that is where I spend most of my waking hours. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps me busy. I’ve lived in this part of AP for a bit and got used to the way things work around here. We just try to get the tasks done before the shift ends. People know where to find me if there’s a problem with the machinery. I keep a small desk with some old manuals and my tools nearby. It’s practical work for practical people. If you are passing through Tadipatri, you’ve probably seen the plant. Nothing special, just a place where we put in the hours and deal with the steel. I'm just an engineer trying to keep the wheels turning without too much fuss and without asking for much. Just day-to-day work that needs attention.
