Pournami & Company

We are located at 256/34-6 along the Tadepalligudem to Nallajerla Road. It’s a dusty stretch of road in Subbaraopet, and there is always something moving outside the doors of Pournami & Company. The office itself is quite plain. We have a few heavy wooden tables and some chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. There’s always a stack of ledgers or invoices sitting near the phone. The air smells a bit like the countryside and the exhaust from the passing lorries. We don’t have a big staff, so whoever is closest to the door greets anyone who comes in. It gets quite hot in the middle of the day, so we usually keep the curtains drawn to block out the sun. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on deliveries that are coming down the highway. It’s the kind of place where things move at their own pace. We know the local shopkeepers and sometimes we go out to the roadside stall for a quick snack. The floor is swept every morning, but the dust from the road always finds its way back in by noon. We’ve been in Subbaraopet for a while now, and the routine hasn't changed much. It’s just a regular company doing regular work, situated right where the trucks pass by on their way to the next town over.
