Shivay Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Khategaon. We are over at Tada Sadan on Ahilyabai Marg. If you know Makan No 1, that’s basically where we are. It’s a place where farmers around here come together. Dealing with crops and seeds takes up most of our time. It’s not always easy. Sometimes the weather doesn't help and other times the logistics are a real headache. We don't have a big marketing team. It’s just us sitting in the office or being out in the fields. We started this because there was a need to organize things better for the people growing the food. The office isn't anything special. Just some chairs, a few old files, and a lot of talk about harvest cycles. We drink a lot of tea while we figure out the schedules. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we do things the old-fashioned way with paper. We’ve known most of the people we work with for years. It’s a tight community here in Khategaon. We try to keep things fair. No one is getting rich quick here. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the producers get what they need. It’s tiring work but it’s what we know. We don't put on a show for anyone. If you come by, you'll see us as we are, probably covered in a bit of dust from the road. The office door squeaks a bit when you open it.
