Our shop is No. 115, right there by the Jila Jail Parosar. It’s a practical spot for what we do. Moving things is a lot of work, and our office reflects that. We have rolls of bubble wrap and stacks of brown boxes piled up high against the walls. It smells like cardboard and tape in here. Most mornings, the guys are out early with the trucks, so the shop gets a bit quiet. I spend most of my time on the phone or writing down addresses in the big ledger. We don't have much in the way of decoration, maybe just a calendar on the wall and some old photos of the trucks. The floor is concrete and it gets quite cold in the winter. People stop by to ask for quotes or just to buy a few boxes for their own moves. It’s a dusty business, but it keeps us busy. We know the roads around here like the back of our hands. Sometimes we share a meal in the back room when things slow down. There's always a bit of grease on the door handles from the mechanics working nearby. We aren't doing anything fancy, just packing up people's lives and moving them to the next house. It's hard on the back, but it's honest work. We’ve been in this shop for a long time now.
