Padma Chilumula

I’ve lived here in Tekumatla for a long time now. My place is right in the village, and everyone around here knows where to find me. It’s a quiet part of Suryapet, mostly farmland and open space, which I like. I started doing this work because there was a need for it locally, and it just grew from there. It isn't a big operation with a lot of staff or anything. It's mostly just me and sometimes a family member helping out when there’s a lot to do. My day usually starts early before the sun gets too hot. I keep my tools and supplies in the back room, and the front area is where I meet people. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. People stop by to chat or ask about what I’m working on. It’s the kind of place where you don't really need an appointment, you just show up and see if I'm around. I try to get things done on time, though sometimes the electricity goes out and slows me down for a bit. That’s just how life is in the village. I don’t have a website or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people hear about me. It’s a simple life, and I’m glad to be working right here where I grew up. Nothing fancy, just honest work every day. I hope to keep doing this for a few more years if I can stay healthy. It keeps me busy and I enjoy seeing the neighbors.
