Shree Umiya Industries

Our place is located at Plot No.2815 in Phase 4 of the G I D C in Wadhwan City. It’s a big area and it’s easy to get a bit lost if you aren't looking at the plot numbers closely. We have been operating out of this unit for several years now. It’s an honest living. We started with just a couple of machines and now we have a few more, though they aren't the newest models you’ll find. They still do the job though. The floor gets a bit dusty because of all the activity around here, but we try to sweep up every evening before we lock up the gates. In Wadhwan, everyone knows everyone in the industrial circles, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. We don't spend much money on things like paint or decorations for the office because that's not what we're here for. We're here to make things. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk about the news or the rain, but other days we are running around until late at night. My nephew helps out with the books and the rest of us stay on the floor. It’s a small team, really just family and a few workers who have been with us since the start. We just take it one day at a time at Shree Umiya Industries and hope the electricity stays on all day.
