Temple Architect And Contractor

Working on temples here in Wadhwan City for quite a while now. Our office is right near the Government Hospital at Khandi Pole. Most days you'll find us sketching out designs or out at a site checking on the stonework. It is hard work but someone has to do it. We handle the design part and the actual building too. It's mostly about making sure the pillars are straight and the carvings look right. People around here know where we are if they need to talk about a project. Sometimes the weather gets in the way of the schedule but we keep moving. We don't have a big fancy office or anything, just a place to keep our tools and papers. Wadhwan has a lot of old history and we try to respect that when we work on a new spot. It's just a few of us here. If you walk past the hospital, you'll see our sign. We usually have tea in the afternoon and talk about the next steps for whatever we are building. It isn't glamorous work, just steady. The heat can be a bit much in the summer but the work stays the same regardless. We’ve been at this address for a bit and plan to stay. Most of the guys have been with us for years and we all just know what needs doing. We don't use fancy software for everything, sometimes a pencil and paper works just as well. It feels more real that way when you are drawing by hand.
