Patel Paints

Patel Paints is located inside the Akshar Anand Shopping Centre, right on Troli Station Road. If you know where the Karigar Hotel is, we are just directly opposite that. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside our window. The shop is filled with cans of all sizes, and the smell of fresh paint is pretty much always there. We spend most of our day helping people pick out colors for their homes or shops. It can be a bit overwhelming for folks with all the choices, so we try to just give them a bit of space to think. The shopping center gets a lot of foot traffic, especially on weekends when families are out. We aren't a big corporation, just a family-run spot trying to make a go of it. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to stack boxes in the aisles, which makes things a bit cramped for a few hours. We don’t use any fancy sales talk; we just tell people what we have in stock and what it costs. Most of our regulars are local contractors who stop by in their trucks early in the morning. We’ve been in this unit for a while now and it feels like home. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, but we don’t mind the hard work. We just show up every morning, open the shop, and see who comes through the door to ask about a certain shade or brand.
