Maruti Mobile

Maruti Mobile has been sitting here near Rajkamal Chowk in Dhrangadhra for a good while. This spot is always moving. You can hear the horns and the people shouting all day long from the shop. We deal with a lot of cracked screens and batteries that won't charge anymore. It’s a small space, so we have boxes piled up in the back corners. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the usual stuff you see at a mobile shop. I started this because I liked messing around with gadgets when I was younger. Now it is just my daily job. We see all kinds of people here. Some are in a hurry and others want to talk for an hour about which phone is better. We just listen and do what we can. The heat in the afternoon can be tough, so we usually have the door halfway shut to keep the cool air in. My brother helps me out when things get too busy. We don't use fancy software to keep track of things; we just write it all down in a big notebook. It works for us. If you are looking for us, just ask anyone near the chowk. We are usually there from morning until late evening, six days a week. It’s a busy life, but it’s ours.
