Tejas Sand Stone Co.

Tejas Sand Stone Co. is located on Main Road in Thangadh. There is always a lot of dust here because of the stone we handle every day. It gets on everything, the desks, the chairs, and even the tea cups if you aren't careful. Thangadh is a place where you see a lot of this kind of work happening around every corner. Our spot is right on the main stretch, so it is easy to see us when you're driving through town. We spend our mornings checking the latest batches of stone that come in from the back. Some pieces are heavy and take a few of us to move around the yard without scratching them. It is mostly manual work and getting our hands dirty is just part of the routine. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a small space to sit and some shade for when the sun gets too bright in the afternoon. The trucks coming in from the quarries keep us busy during the week. Sometimes we just chat with the drivers while they wait for things to be loaded. It’s a quiet life in some ways, just focusing on the sandstone and the orders people need. We don’t do much else besides this. If the rain comes, everything gets a bit muddy and messy, but that's just how it goes here. We've been on this road for quite a bit now.
