Hydro Engineering Works

We have been here at number 116 in the Gidc area for quite a while now. Most days start pretty early because Sanala Road gets busy fast once the sun is up. The workshop isn't anything fancy, just a solid place where we get the engineering jobs done. You’ll usually find a few of us covered in grease or leaning over a lathe machine trying to get a measurement exactly right. It gets hot under the tin roof during the afternoons, so we take our breaks when we can. We started out small and stayed that way mostly, focusing on the metalwork that comes through the door. Sometimes the trucks blocking the front make it hard to get in, but that is just how life is in this part of town. We don’t spend much time on paperwork or making things look pretty for a catalog. Instead, we spend our hours fixing parts and making sure the machines are running like they should. If you walk past, you’ll hear the clanking of tools and maybe the radio playing in the corner. We know the neighbors around here well. It is a loud place, but it is where we do our best work day in and day out. Most of our tools have been with us for years. We keep them clean even if the floor stays a bit dusty from the grinding. It’s a simple setup on Sanala Road.
