About Sunline Ceramics – Building & Construction Material in Surendra Nagar
Up here in Amarapar, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We’re out in the Surendranagar district, where the clay and the heat are just part of every day. Sunline Ceramics is basically just a big shed and a lot of kilns. When the fires are going, the whole place gets incredibly hot, but that’s the only way to get the ceramics right. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. Mostly, it’s just us watching the temperature gauges and making sure the pieces don't crack. We make a lot of basic ceramic items that people use every day. It’s dusty work, and your clothes are always stained with some kind of glaze or earth by the end of the shift. We’ve been in Amarapar for years, and most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. It’s a tight-knit group. We don't talk much about business strategy or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the batch that comes out of the oven looks the way it’s supposed to. Sometimes the weather affects how the clay dries, so we have to be patient. It’s a lot of waiting and a lot of heavy lifting. We aren't trying to be the biggest factory in the state. We just want to keep the kilns running and produce something decent that lasts for a long time without causing too much trouble for our local customers.
