Kundan Shilp

Our place is right on Jogashar Road, across from Walbai Palace. It's a spot that most locals know because of the landmark. Kundan Shilp isn't a big corporate office, it's more of a workshop feel where we get things done. We spend most of our days working on whatever projects are currently on the table. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere and it's a bit loud, but that’s just part of the job. We've been at this address for quite some time now. Dealing with the heat in the summer and the rain can be a bit much, but we manage. We aren't really the type to have a fancy reception desk or anything. You just walk in and you'll see someone busy with their hands or checking some stock. It’s a real, working environment. We don't try to hide the mess of a busy day because that's just how work looks. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to us for years or found us by word of mouth. We don't do much advertising. We just stay here on Jogashar Road and keep working. It's a simple life and a simple business. We like it that way. Sometimes the tea break is the best part of the afternoon when we all just sit for a minute before getting back to it. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours and we are proud of the stuff we make here.
