About Mittal Iron Store – Building & Construction Material in Suratgarh
We’ve been operating out of 18, Purani Dhan Mandi for a good number of years. This old market area is always full of people and carts moving back and forth. The streets are a bit narrow, so getting big loads in and out can be a real headache sometimes. Our store is packed with iron rods and sheets. Everything is heavy and usually a bit rusty on the surface until it’s cleaned up. The walls of the shop are stained from years of moving metal around. It’s not a clean job by any means. My hands are usually black by the end of the day. We don't have a website or any of that new stuff. People just know where we are because we’ve been here so long. The Dhan Mandi has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it. We open up the shutters early in the morning when the first tea stalls start their fires. It’s a lot of waiting for customers and then a lot of rushing to get the loading done when they show up. The air is thick with the smell of the market and old iron. We have a small stool for visitors, but most people just stand around the entrance. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we don't expect it to change much.
