Wilderness - India is tucked away in Poddar Plaza, which is right across from the Majura Fire Station on Ghod Dod Road. Our office is at number 513. It’s a bit of a funny place for a nature-focused business because we’re in the middle of a busy city area, but we spend most of our time thinking about the outdoors. We aren't really the corporate type. Most of us here would rather be out in the woods or up a mountain than sitting behind a desk in Poddar Plaza. We spend our days planning trips, looking at maps, and talking to people who want to see a bit more of the wild side of India. Sometimes the fire sirens from across the street get really loud and interrupt our phone calls, but we’re used to it. We have gear lying around the office and posters of tigers and trees on the walls because that’s what we care about. It’s a small team here. We don’t have a big HR department or fancy titles. We just like the wilderness and want to help other people get out there too. It’s a lot of logistics and paperwork behind the scenes, which isn't the fun part, but it’s what allows the trips to happen. If you drop by, we’re probably drinking tea and arguing about the best trail to take in the monsoon.
