Our office is right in the heart of Surat, in the Mahidharpur area. We are located at Ghanshyam Bhuvan in Bali Sheri. It’s a very old and crowded part of the city, which can be a bit of a headache with the narrow lanes, but it’s where all the action is. Vnv Impex Llp is on the second floor, in Office No. 203-A. You have to walk through the busy street and up the stairs to find us. Once you are inside, it’s a bit quieter, but you can still hear the noise from the bazaar below. We handle a lot of import and export work from this small space. It is mostly us on the phones or typing away on the laptops. The space is filled with files and ledgers because there is always so much to track. We don't have a big corporate atmosphere here. It’s just a few of us trying to make sure everything goes smoothly with the goods we are moving. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the street gets blocked by a truck, but that’s just part of working in Surat. We take it as it comes. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know the other traders in the building. It’s a practical place to be if you want to be near the markets. We just keep working through the day until the sun goes down and it is time to close up.
