V K Dhingra Silk Mills

V K Dhingra Silk Mills is tucked away on the second floor of Aagam Arcade. If you are looking for us, we are right across from Rangila Park, which is a nice landmark to have. Being on the second floor means we have to carry everything up and down, which keeps us busy. The space at A-10 is filled with rolls of fabric and the sound of work. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the machines are humming along. We handle a lot of silk and other materials here. Most days, the floor is covered in scraps and threads. We try to sweep up, but it just accumulates again by noon. Working with textiles is a bit of a dusty job, and you end up with lint on your clothes all the time. Our team is small. We’ve worked together for a long time, so we don't need to talk much to know what needs doing. We see people walking in the park across the street through the windows sometimes when we take a break. It's a busy area around here, lots of shops and people moving around. We don't really do much advertising or anything. People usually find us because they know someone who knows us. It’s just how it’s been for years. We open up early, check the looms, and stay until the work is finished for the evening. Sometimes we are tired, but it's good to see the fabric being finished after a long day.
