If you go down Varachha Main Road, you’ll find us at No. 53 in Harirambapa Nagar. We’ve been selling shoes here for a while. The shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot of stock into it. There are boxes stacked all the way to the ceiling sometimes, and it looks a bit unstable. It’s always a bit of a struggle to find the exact pair someone wants in the right size, but we usually manage it eventually. The traffic on the main road is always loud, so we have to shout a bit to be heard by the customers. We see all kinds of people coming through here. Some are just looking to pass the time, others know exactly what they need. It gets really busy in the evenings when everyone is finishing work and heading home. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the name on the front of the shop. Sometimes the neighbors come by for a chat and a glass of water. It’s a friendly enough spot. We try to keep the floor swept, but with so many people coming in and out, it’s hard to keep it clean. We just sell footwear and try to make a living like everyone else. There’s no big philosophy behind what we do. Just selling sandals and shoes to the local folks. Sometimes we have a sale when we get too much stock taking up space. Mostly, we just sit on our stools and wait for the next person.
