Shree Mahalaxmi Lace

Our place is on Plot Number 40 in Ambica Society, which is tucked right behind Ashapuri Society on the Bamroli Pandesara Road. It is in the Udhna area, where a lot of industrial work happens. We focus on making lace, and our workshop is usually humming with the sound of the machinery. Finding us can be a little tricky the first time because the lanes in the society all look a bit similar. We have big spools of colorful thread lined up on the shelves, and there is always a layer of fine dust from the cotton. The building is a simple one-story structure with a heavy metal door. We spend a lot of time standing by the machines to make sure no threads snap or get tangled up. It is a bit loud inside, so we have to raise our voices to talk to each other. The floor is concrete and stays quite cool, which is nice in the heat. We have a small area near the entrance where we keep the finished lace packed in boxes ready for delivery. Most of our neighbors are also in the textile business, so we often see them out on the road during tea breaks. We don't do any big advertising or anything fancy. We just stay busy with our machines and make sure the orders go out on time. It is a steady routine we have followed for years.
