If you find yourself on Udhna Main Road, you’ll see the Arihant Complex at number 218. That’s where we keep the shop for Krishna Sewing Machine. It’s a busy road, always plenty of traffic and people rushing around. Inside the shop, it’s a bit different. We have machines everywhere, some new and some that have seen better days. There’s always that smell of machine oil in the air, which I’ve grown to like over the years. We spend a lot of time looking at needles and bobbins. It’s not a quiet job, especially when we’re testing out a motor or fixing an issue. The light in the complex isn't always the best, so we have extra lamps at the workbenches. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners. Sometimes we grab tea together when things are slow. We don't really do much advertising; people just seem to find us when their machines start acting up or when they need something specific. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. The stairs up to the unit are a bit narrow, so moving the heavier machines can be a real chore. But we manage. It’s just part of the daily grind in Udhna. Sometimes people bring in machines that are so old we haven't seen them in years, and we have to dig through drawers to find a part that might fit. It’s a bit like a puzzle. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains.
