Down at 377/378 Varachha Road, you’ll find Tulja Bhavani Watch. It’s a wide street with a lot of traffic passing by all day long. Our shop has two numbers because we needed the extra space for all the clocks we keep. We have them lined up on the walls, and sometimes they all chime at different times, which can be a bit confusing if you’re not used to it. We handle a lot of business here because Varachha Road is such a main artery of the city. We see a lot of people who are just passing through and need a quick fix. We don't go in for fancy displays or expensive lighting. The shop is bright enough to see what we’re doing, and that’s plenty. We spend our days mostly bent over the bench. Our hands are usually a bit stained from the oils we use. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just fix watches. People bring in everything from high-end pieces to things they bought at a local market. We treat them all about the same. It’s about the mechanics of it. The shop is a bit old-fashioned, and we like it that way. It fits the kind of work we do. If you’re walking down Varachha Road and your watch stops, you can just step inside and we’ll see what’s wrong.
