Surat Metallics Ltd.

Surat Metallics Ltd. is located over at A-17/1 in Ichapur Bhatpore. This part of town is very industrial, so you’ll see plenty of steel and heavy machinery around us. We have a fair amount of space in our yard, but it fills up fast with materials. The air always smells a bit like metal and grease here. We spend our days coordinating arrivals and moving heavy loads around. It’s physical work and the weather in Ichapur can be pretty unforgiving when it’s hot. We have a small office area where we keep the paperwork, but most of the action happens out on the floor. The gate is usually open from early morning until late evening. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising; we just stay busy with the tasks at hand. There’s a lot of noise from the nearby units, so you have to talk loud to be heard sometimes. We’ve got a routine that works for us, even if it looks a bit chaotic to an outsider. The coffee here is pretty bad, but it’s hot and it does the job. We know the other guys on the block and we help each other out if someone’s truck gets stuck or something. It’s a gritty environment, but it’s where we feel most at home. We just keep our heads down and get the metal moved to where it needs to be.
