Surat Apparel Machine Co

We are located in Poddara Plaza, units 104 and 105. It’s right on Ring Road which is the heart of everything here. Most days there is a lot of grease on our hands because we are dealing with machines all the time. The shop is full of parts and different tools. It's not the cleanest place, but that is how it goes when you work with apparel machinery. We have been here for years. You can hear the hum of the city from the balcony. People come in looking for specific parts or asking how to fix a needle bar. We don't have a big sales pitch. We just show them what is on the shelf. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, but it helps us see the small screws. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoon. We have a small cooler that we keep running. Most of the other shops in Poddara Plaza know us well. We share news about the market over tea in the afternoons. It's a busy life. My clothes usually have some oil stains by the end of the shift. We don't mind. It shows we were actually working. If you need something for a factory, you probably ended up at our door at some point. We just keep the inventory moving and try to help the local tailors. It is simple work but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
