Our company, Surat Ahmedabad Transport Service Pvt Ltd, is located in the Kadodara area at the Tejpal Industrial Estate. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by factories and warehouses of all kinds. It’s a busy environment where there is always a forklift moving or a truck backing into a bay. Our office is right in the middle of all that action. We spend most of our time coordinating the trips between Surat and Ahmedabad. It is a busy route and there is always something that needs to be moved. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some heavy-duty desks and a lot of logbooks stacked up on the shelves. It’s a bit of a loud place because of the nearby machinery, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We don't really bother with fancy office furniture or decorations. Everything here is for a purpose. We have a small area where people can wait, but mostly it is just us working through the manifests. The air is often thick with the smell of diesel and industrial work, which is just part of being in Kadodara. We have a team that knows how to handle the heavy loads and the long hours. It is hard work, but it is what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and make sure the deliveries happen.
