Sun Electronics has been sitting here at Rahatani Chowk for a good while now. Our spot is A/70, which is easy enough to find if you know the crossroads well. It’s a bit of a cramped shop, to be honest, filled with spare parts, old circuits, and tools scattered across the back workbench. We spend most of our hours under those bright tube lights, squinting at motherboards or trying to figure out why a particular piece of equipment won't turn on. The area outside gets really loud during the evening rush, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. Customers walk in with all sorts of broken things, hoping we can get them working again so they don't have to buy something new. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here because they see the sign when they are stuck in traffic at the chowk. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cluttered with all the boxes stacked in the corner, but we know where everything is. It’s just how a repair shop ends up looking after a few years. We have a routine of cleaning the front glass every morning, though it usually gets smudged by lunch. It’s a steady way to spend the day, working with our hands and chatting with the neighbors who drop by to say hello while we’re fixing their electronics.
