Store Assistant

We handle the inventory out at the Larsen & Toubro Ltd Eccd Jetty Site. It is mostly just making sure parts and supplies are where they need to be so the work doesn't stop. The jetty gets busy, and tracking everything coming in by boat or truck takes a lot of time. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy when everyone is in a rush, but we get it sorted eventually. We’ve been here at this site for a while now, just keeping the shelves organized and checking the manifests. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. Just a dusty spot near the water where we count bolts and heavy gear. If something is missing, it’s usually our job to go find out where it went. We spend most days walking around the yard or sitting at the small desk checking off lists. It is practical work. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us making sure the tools are ready for the next shift. Sometimes it’s hot, and the wind off the water makes things fly around, but that is just how it is working here. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the gear. Nothing more to it than that, really. Just keeping the site running one box at a time. The delivery trucks come in at odd hours, so we have to stay on our toes. It's a lot of manual counting. We’ve got a small shed to keep the rain off the electronics.
