Our workshop is situated at Survey No. 98/1/1 in the Silli area of Silvassa. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of trucks and industrial activity going on all the time. Being in Silvassa means we deal with the 396230 zip code for all our mail and shipments. We work mostly with foils, which can be a bit of a tricky material if you don't know what you're doing. The days here usually start with the sound of the machines getting warmed up. It's a straightforward environment where the focus is on the production line. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or office aesthetics. The floor is usually covered with bits of scrap metal or packing tape depending on the hour. People who work here have been around for quite a few years, so we all know the routine pretty well. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the commute to Silli a bit slow, but we manage. It’s an honest living, and the building serves its purpose. We have enough space for the raw materials and the finished rolls of foil. You won't find any high-tech gadgets in the breakroom, just a place to sit and have tea. Most of our neighbors are also in manufacturing, so it feels like a community of makers. We just keep our heads down and get the foils out the door as scheduled.
