Shatabadi Travels

I've been sitting in this shop at 10, Tirupati Plaza for years now. Sahara Darwaja is always noisy, you know how it is in Surat. We're right under the Ashoka International Hotel, so travelers find us easily when they come down for a walk. It's not a big corporate office with glass walls or anything. Just a regular room in Umarwada where we handle stuff. Some days are slow, we just drink tea and talk to the neighbors. Other days, everyone wants to book a ticket at once. We don't use big words or fancy brochures here. People come in, they tell us where they want to go, and we see what we can do. It's a practical way to work. The plaza gets crowded during the festive season, making it hard to find parking sometimes. But we like it here. It's home. We've seen the shops around us change over the years, but Shatabadi Travels stays in the same corner. If you're passing by the hotel, you'll see our door. It’s a plain place, nothing much to say about the decor. We just keep our heads down and handle the bookings. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it keeps the heat away. We keep our records in these old folders, it's just easier that way for us. The tea stall around the corner is where we get our morning chai. It keeps us going during the long shifts. Most days we're just sitting here with our registers and phones.
