Our company, Sekhani Polyesters Pvt. Ltd., is over in Pandesara, Surat. We are at unit 93 in the GIDC area, right near the post office. Having the post office close by is actually quite handy for us. The area is very industrial, full of sheds and large buildings where people are busy making all sorts of things. We focus on polyesters. Inside our unit, it's mostly about the material and the machines. It’s a bit noisy and it can get quite warm in the afternoons. We don't have a fancy front desk or a waiting room with magazines. If you come by, you'll probably find us on the floor checking the stock or talking to the drivers. We’ve been at this location for a long time. The street outside is usually busy with tempos and people moving goods. We don't use any big marketing words to describe what we do. We just process the polyester and get it sent out to where it needs to go. It’s repetitive work, but we take it seriously in our own way. Some of the guys have worked here since the beginning. We eat our lunch together and then get back to it. It’s a simple operation without any corporate polish. We just stay in our corner of the GIDC and do the work that comes our way. That’s how we keep things going year after year.
