Finding us isn't too hard if you know where the Torrent Power office is in Surat. We are right opposite that, inside the Krishnakant Compound. Our address says Plot No. 3 Arjun Park Estate on Sayan Sugar Road, which is a long way of saying we are in the heart of the Sayan 2 area. The compound gets pretty crowded during the week because there are several other shops and small factories sharing the space. We handle a lot of nonwoven material here, so you’ll see big rolls of it stacked up near the entrance most days. The air has a specific smell to it, not bad, just the smell of the warehouse and the materials we use. Our office is tucked away in one corner and it usually has a layer of dust on the windows from the road traffic outside. Sayan Sugar Road can get backed up with tractors and lorries especially during certain times of the year. Inside, the noise of the machinery is constant but we’ve all gotten used to it over the years. We usually stop for tea around four in the afternoon when things slow down for a minute. It is a straightforward operation without any big corporate vibes or fancy decorations on the walls. We just come in, do what needs to be done with the fabric, and head home once the shift is over.
